In a past life I spent a few years in the U.S. Navy as an electrician, but decided that manual labor wasn't my strength. Once discharged, I spent a few more years in jobs with a sales/customer service focus, while still writing on the side, and eventually began going to college.
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in English. Why did I major in English and not business marketing or something? I felt that a degree in English would help me develop skills in critical thinking, critical reading, and especially writing. When I combined this with my sales experience, I developed my own style for producing copy that is both professional and fresh.
What about other writing? I have also dabbled in fiction and poetry. In late 2006 I started a literary blog called Brad's Reader that has seen tremendous growth and an ever-increasing loyal readership. In my spare time I still write fiction, read unhealthy amounts of books and can never seem to spend enough time with my beautiful wife Susan and cat Kirby.
